Addiction Recovery

Freedom from Addiction. Strength for a New Life.

Addiction doesn’t just affect the body; it impacts the heart, mind, and soul, too. At Bridgeport Rescue Mission, we meet individuals in their moments of greatest need with a program rooted in faith, healing, and transformation.

Our New Life Program is a long-term, residential path to recovery designed for men and women who are ready to overcome substance abuse and rebuild their lives, one step at a time, with God’s help.

What We Offer

The New Life Program combines spiritual formation with practical recovery tools in a structured, supportive environment:

  • Weekly Counseling and Case Management
Individual and group sessions based on the Genesis Process help participants develop relapse prevention strategies and emotional resilience.
  • Work Therapy and Career Preparation
Residents engage in meaningful work that builds confidence and prepares them for employment. They also receive help navigating legal, medical, and financial challenges.
  • Classroom Education and Life Skills
Instruction focuses on self-care, emotional health, and essential life skills needed for lasting change.
  • Spiritual Growth and Small Group Support
Through daily Bible study, devotions, and peer connections, participants strengthen their faith and find encouragement.

How You Can Help

Recovery is a journey—and no one should walk it alone.

We are in need of skilled volunteers to teach classes, lead workshops, drive residents to appointments, and mentor program graduates. We also welcome donors who share our vision of healing and hope.

Your support will help someone take their first step toward freedom.
