As we prayerfully mourn and protest our nation’s history of racial injustice, I pray this will be a time of deep national reflection that becomes a sustained movement for us to step up in our circles of influence and work for meaningful change at every level in our nation. Bridgeport Rescue Mission has always responded to all individuals with dignity and grace. With God’s help, we will continue our rich heritage of changing lives from the inside out for people of all races. Each day, may we strive, as the prophet Micah says, “to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.”
