Pray With Us for Every Empty Chair
Addiction empties chairs. At the dinner table, at the holidays, in the seat someone used to fill before addiction took hold. If you're praying for a chair like that today, whether it's your own seat you're trying to find your way back to, or someone you love who hasn't come home yet, you don't have to pray alone.
Every request is read and prayed over by our staff and chaplaincy team. Share as much or as little as you'd like.
Why Submit a Recovery Prayer Request
At Bridgeport Rescue Mission, we've watched recovery rooted in faith and community fill those empty chairs again, not just by breaking the grip of addiction, but by helping someone rediscover who they were made to be. One of our own, Autumn, put it simply: before coming to the Mission she was broken and hopeless, and now she's content and sees a future ahead of her. That kind of change is what we're praying toward with every request we receive.
When you submit a request, here's what happens:
Your request is received by our chaplaincy and prayer team, never posted publicly.
Our team prays over every single request, often daily during staff devotions.
If you ask for follow-up, a member of our team may reach out to you directly with care and support.
You may request that Mission staff and volunteers keep your submission completely confidential.
