Bold Vision Bright Future
Is it too bold to imagine a woman like Norma Brown could build a bright future? Not if God is in control!
“Just weeks before coming to the Mission, I accepted the Lord into my life,” she says. “Someone invited me to a Bible study and told me every answer to any problem could be found in that book. When I got to the Mission I decided I was going to give 100 percent, and if it didn’t work for me, I didn’t know what would.”
Norma entered our New Life Discipleship Program, where her favorite class was the basic beginners Bible study. “I just took one day at a time, learning about Jesus and how much He loves me.” And before long, her bright future came into focus.
Norma graduated from our program over 12 years ago. While working as a file clerk at a high-end optical boutique, she went back to school to become a licensed optician and worked her way up to director of operations. She’s a wife and the mother of two sons, an ordained missionary for her church and a breast cancer survivor. “I believe I’m totally delivered from addiction,” Norma says today. “God has transformed me and I trust the Lord with all my heart. I truly believe 2012 is the best year of my life, and I want to be a blessing no matter where I go.”
We know she will be, because no vision is too bold for Norma, with God by her side.
